Emerald Hoops International Series
This event will be run annually in Ireland in the month of August. The event will be attractive to NCAA college basketball teams who wish to partake in a memorable foreign tour.
The format for the event will consist of NCAA college teams playing in a pre season tourrnament against European national teams. The college teams will play each of the national teams over the course of the tournament.
The tournament is timed to provide a good pre-season event for NCAA teams in the build up the the regular college season and as a preparatory event for European national teams in the build up to the European Championship games in late August and September.
As part of the trip an optional series of exhibition game can be organised at venues across the island of Ireland.
The inaugural International Series event will be for mens teams and will be held in Dublin in August 2008.
